About Us

Howard Harnett started his business in 1973 and is still going strong today with a team of over 40 people including two foremen who have been with the company for almost 20 years. Howard himself completed his apprenticeship in Whangarei and is still based in the town with offices in the suburb of Maunu.

A good team spirit is vital, particularly as we regularly work away from home, often on remote sites. Our team have patience, attention to detail, high skill levels and good communication which ultimately leads to achieving the best results for our clients.

Due to the high-end nature of much of the work we do, many of our clients prefer confidentiality so we prefer to keep a fairly low profile and let the work come to us through word of mouth. On this website you will see just a small selection of projects we have completed.

I engaged the services of Howard Harnett to build on a labour only basis our retirement home on the coast at Oakura. The design called for a high level of attention to detail.
